Fortune's Weave characters and four routes

Nintendo confirms four playable individual storylines and the freedom to move between them. This is a spoiler-light map of what is known, plus the questions that need actual save-file verification before a route guide can make recommendations.

How the route structure works

The Heroic Games gather powerful fighters in Dagsion, with one wish promised to the winner. Nintendo says Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda can be played in any order. You may also pause progress in one storyline to jump into another, so an early choice is not presented as a permanent commitment.

Use this to manage spoilers
Choose a route for its protagonist premise, not an assumed “best” order. Keep route-specific search results out of your first playthrough until the point you actually want details.

Cai

Official premise: A young boy competing to save his imprisoned father.

Guide status: A personal rescue motive; official copy does not yet establish his classes, recruitments, or route length.

Dietrich

Official premise: A swordsman always searching for a stronger foe.

Guide status: A combat-driven premise. Community interest is high, but strategy specifics still need verified in-game coverage.

Theodora

Official premise: A queen pursuing her homeland’s long-held dream.

Guide status: A political premise with official confirmation only; guide writers should avoid treating inferred faction details as fact.

Leda

Official premise: A musician seeking revenge.

Guide status: A revenge-driven premise. Official material confirms her role among the four heroes, not a complete build path.

What the current demand tells us

Search-volume data strongly clusters around characters, Sothis, Seteth, Dagdan Collection, Fodlan connections, timeline questions, recruitment, romance, and character customisation. Those are excellent future page candidates, but keywords are not evidence that any particular mechanic or character relationship exists.
